Well, he has gone and done it... Mr RY has finished the "Native Oak" carving!

Here he is, during the final stages of smoothing the timber:

Here it is, starting with the chunky log...

Some final shaping with the chainsaw and a blast with the blow torch - here he is... wee bear !!

Evening!

Mr RY has been busy hand carving an interesting, chunky piece of Oak.

He thought it would make a nice planter, but it needed... something!

After staring at it for a fair few days, some shapes began to emerge and so we welcomed ThunderBolt and LightFoot - our trusty steeds!
